Currently, the first model being offered from Yadea is the G5 L1e (50cc equivalent) electric moped which is one of their principal models from their Sport range. These are imported in to the UK by Lexmoto.

Powered by a Panasonic lithium-ion 60v32ah removable battery with18650 cells, it can be charged from a 13amp plug from flat in about 4 hours and has a quoted maximum range of about 55 miles.

The silent hub motor has up to 2.3kw of power (1800w base) with a maximum 120nm of Torque which gives a top speed of 28mph allowing this bike to be ridden with a pre-2001 driving license or anyone with a CBT from 16 years old.

It has both front and rear ventilated brakes on its 12 inch wheels and a large clear 7" display showing all the pertinent information.

The bike does qualify for the OLEV Government Grant
